Your "outrageous raging and rants" are, indeed, on target. You could have added "The Athletics of Golden Parachuting" with the ABOR approved coaching team of Mackovic, Stoops,Rodriguez, Sumlin. who , when gracefully asked to leave, after demonstrating a high level of incompetence, flew away with millions that could have been used for.... EDUCATION (sorry, strike that..what does education have to do with winning teams?). If we must keep athletics (and we should, I'm a season ticket holder since 1983 and a UA alum) let's lower the stakes (and the costs). Since the "Conference of Champions" (PAC12) has now been dissolved, let's join the Mountain West or some other regional conference where "student athletes" don't have to fly across America to play, fans can visit away games and the athletic department doesn't have to borrow multimillions. Sports will still be fun to play and to watch and the University can re-assume the role for which it was intended, to educate our young people (so they won't be part of MAGA)

I remember "the WAC" Conference and UA's own 'Fab Five' basketball team coached by Fred Snowden. There never was better basketball played at the UA ... those young men made the team "noticeable!" Back in 1971-'72, without the 'Detroit Connection', there would have been nothing for Lute Olsen to later 'notice.' Thanx to Eric Money, Al Fleming (RIP), Bob Elliot, Herman Harris, Jimmy Rappis, and so many others! After Snowden, Lute Olsen generated more honest enthusiasm; however, the whole thing fell into the dumper with 'Show Off" Sean and illegal cheating on a grand scale. Hey, U of A ... look ashamed!

"how to spot the difference without laughing out loud" made me laugh out loud. Man, I gotta say, if my tax dollars were being used to fund that cash poor clown show I'd be royally pissed off! So, you can color me ... ROYALLY PISSED OFF!! ~ UA College of Engineering Class of '89

This just boggles the mind. How can educated people be so totally out of control with our tax dollars? They need to have continuing education requirements for university administrators. No wonder AZ is a laughing stock. Our educational system is being destroyed at every level. Pity the poor students.

A once famous writer had a character in one of his pieces say to his son: “Neither a lender nor a borrower be.” Obviously this dropped off the reading list long ago. Most warnings do.

Very perceptive, David. I like Humanities department. They do a real service, but providing humanity seminars for literature, history, music, Visual arts, film, etc. I’m hoping the classes and professors are as excellent for grads and undergrad. They have certainly made my l post, retirement life, more stimulating!

I second (actually, "tenth") all the prior comments. Creative and hilarious and ultimately, sad (the last for the students and faculty of this wonderful university).
