Fitz, you are a super smart and insightful person. What are your recommendations for cleaning things up at this land grant college whose founding purpose was and is to serve its community, not to gobble up the community, charge enormous tuition, or suffer from an ongoing edifice complex.
Good list ! I offer an additional perspective from my point of view. It seems that the leadership of U of A , plus the Board of Regents assisting, have developed a multi-million dollar team that is successful IF you measure their success by the 100s of millions they have lost.
New Oversightless Committee to be called MAGA, Make Arizona in Gutter Academically... to further promote financial failures, pay administrators & coaches even more, implement the joining of church & state in all divisive hateful administrative decisions, and invest solely in athletics at the UA so we can have the BEST NCAA curling team in the desert!
Sorry, Fitz! The LIST is a no-go. Alas! It's become worse over the past 50 years or so ... my range of experience with this particular 'place' ... going back to 1971. So much for my respect of this local hall of higher education ... I disengaged in less than 10 years. During my time, one category of "money" at issue was mine and 'fellow' females. The other, total lack of knowledge or value of professions "other than" maintenance and grounds keepers OR a tenured scholastic faculty.
