Hello my neighbor to the South- what amazing sculptures! They are so timeless and seems to be current now. Thank you for sharing these images, as well as her story. One can tell from the way you describe your Aunt how much she lost. Beautiful stories about the worst possible grief which a mother can feel. 🙏🏼

Very timely view of mothers fearing the loss of their children, and their suffering when it becomes reality.

Thank you for introducing me to to an artist's work I had never experienced. The work exposes millennia of pain that parents endure when mindless uncaring governments, religions and people take lives in the name of rigid often inhumane systems of human thought control.

Grief remains with us always and if we do not find a way to reconcile with it, with new meaning, it can overwhelm us.

Thank you for sharing with us.

Here you go trying to educate me again! Well, it almost didn’t work. Go ahead, chase the barbarian in me into a dark place!

An excellent topic; well illustrated to support your text. A good read! Great job!

Just want to say how much I enjoyed reading the nice article about you Fitz in the Sunday paper. No more Fitz calendars? My hubby's favorite Xmas gift every year.
