Fitz, you are great! We are on Social Security and struggle to meet weekly bills, so have nothing we can contribute until we get a raise. But, we do support you by reading and sharing your posts. Please keep writing and posting.

Thank you. Being retired myself on a fixed income I can totally relate and that’s why i charge no set fee for my joyful avocation. I am delighted and grateful you read my piffle and continue to welcome me in your inbox. Have a beautiful Labor Day!

You’re right quality not quantity. I occasionally miss some of your writings. But I always look forward to reading what you have to say. And like today, I’m starting it off with a big smile and a few giggles. Have a good Labor Day, Fitzy.

Absolutely brilliant as always!

I will read your offerings no matter the length, or day of the week. I grew up in the Bay Area reading Herb Caen every day. You are my Tucson Herb Caen.

Herb Caen and Don Sherwood combined! (Also grew up there and couldn’t tolerate here without Fitz!)

I'm a mid-term octogenarian and therefore write things that makes absolutely no sense, except for a few mall-walkers, myself and my beautiful understanding wife, she generally pats my head and says things like "'kafefee' is a very common word among the many undiscovered Amason tribes of South America, now drink your juice dear".

I would just like to suggest that the 'Melting Rudy Doll' would be a great source of revenue for the disbarred mayor of America, it would rival the success of the 'Cabbage Patch Doll' of years ago. Similar in stature and, being biodegradable, good for the environment.

That, my friend, is a superb idea. Perhaps a 'Melting Rudy Doll' candle! I'll see you at the mall one of these mornings, brother Thomas! Our wives should form a support group :-)

I, for one, am happy to get anything Fitz on any day! I do, especially, like your longer pieces with comics and narrative. But I’ll take a simple ‘toon any day. Just keep on writing, whenever the mood strikes you. You are RETIRED! No schedule, no worries!

Consistency be damned. You’re a wild man living in a too tame Wild West. You’re a modern day Don Quixote defending sanity. Please keep doing what you do best. Thank YOU!!!

You’re doing great! I’ll take whatever you are inclined to post. I’m so glad you’re still willing- and I don’t care whatever your schedule might be. Enjoy the lack of structure. You’ve earned it.

I have a lot of empathy for your exhaustive search for yourself you documented. Too bad you came so close, but just seemed to "re-lose" the elusive critter. Arizona's Progressive Voice is not a salt mine or copper mine camp in the Conservative Gulag! My opinion would be whatever works best for you will satisfy me, with no guilt trip over it, and no dissatisfaction expressed or implied.

This entry is, as usual, great. Due to how my fingers work as self-employed independent contractors these days, your reference to and deliberate examples of typos are very funny!

Love your wit and insight, Fitz! No need to “stick to a schedule”! Life doesn’t! When something “write-worthy” happens, write about it! Your opinions, and the clever way only you can express them, are eagerly awaited!! Write On!

You are a brilliant laugh riot in long form or short form. You are way more fun since your boss had that talk with you.
