This is right up there with "Best of Fitz!" Fair tribute to Tim Steller and terrific satirical illustration of the danger he identified. In today's NYT, Maureen Dowd writes about political cartoonists and satirists as the great dangers they are to dictators and autocracy. Hope she sees this. Maureen would love it!
If it wasn’t so close to the truth, I’d be laughing out loud… Well done my friend, I hope both you and Tim keep the pressure on, I think the regime is weakening.
Quite a complement to Tim Steller to be compared to Mike Royko crossed with Fareed Zakaria with a dash of Molly Ivins. RIP Mike Royko and Molly Ivins, two of the best newspaper columnists ever.
I hope you are right when you say "who nearly destroyed this great nation"...I fear we may experience even worse...such as in : who destroyed this great nation ".
This might be a little too close to being a true story. Gave me chicken skin!
I used to read Tim Stellar when I lived in Tucson, had him speak before an audience of writers. He's great and I miss his columns.
He’s on Substack too. Hasn’t posted anything yet though
My laughter is only silenced by my tears. Thanks, Fitz, as always, well done.

I always trust you to tell it like it is😔
I just want to wake up from this daily nightmare. So hard to believe this is happening in my country.
Frighteningly on target. 🎯
