Makes me sad to read this, but it's so true. They just won't believe it until it hits them in the face and the wallet But, Hey, I did get my Social Security check direct-deposited in my bank account this morning! So for this month, I'm okay.

I’ve stopped being polite when someone hints that fascism is okay with them. If we don’t challenge their blindness and open their eyes just a bit farther…aren’t we just doing what the King wants us liberals to do…shut the f*** up and don’t make waves?

I might only create ripples in water but if enough of us peel away at the lies blinding the fascists in training…we might just create a tsunami that forces them to join the resistance.

But if WE THE PEOPLE let the Trumper’s go unchallenged, we might get caught in the riptide of fascism and become blind ourselves.

(It happened to Germans in WWII)

I’ve had a similar experience! At the Safeway food store in Vail yesterday, I bought Clean People laundry detergent. The cashier (with whom I’ve had many conversations bc she’s from my home state of PA) said to me, my daughter swears by this clean detergent. I told her Yup, but I mentioned it’s manufactured in Canada. The other environment-friendly detergent I use is Earth Breeze and that’s made in China. I said, buy now before the prices go sky high! She wouldn’t look at me but said “Oh, well we’ll see! Don’t think that will happen”. Hmmmm. And you’ll get a raise too? Smmmmshhh

Typical Fitz sensitivity and insight. I am hearing from a former trumper that he is fed up with the ridiculous tariff policies and even his defunding of environmental protection. While one wonders what took him so long to see that the king has no clothes (itself a pretty scary picture), he has. Gives me some hope. It would be good if progressives would build momentum, not just hope for it.

The best way to change policy is to change policy makers. Laser focus on elections we must be.

As I watched AOC speak in Nampa Idaho this week (yes, that Idaho) for the first time in many months I saw a glimmer of hope… It may take a while for the truth to really sink in, but when people see their own lives disrupted, their jobs disappear, their neighbors disappear, I do believe the Country will come to its senses. I hope I’m not as delusional as your average Trumpster.

True, dat. I get gut-grab every time I read about something else Thump has done...

I'm still getting my Social Security checks (knock on wood) and hopefully Medicare will continue to pay for my life-sustaining medicine... and the IRS will cut a check for my tax return and deposit it into my account muy pronto.

Really? A “black” working class man? Sounds a little racist to me. It sure would be good if everyone would quit using labels in our society to segregate a person. Why couldn’t the person just be defined as a working class person regardless of color?
