Please remind them that the Nazis lost and Hitler committed suicide. The confederacy committed treason and lost. Hardly role models.

Great essay...speaks volumes about how each one of us can make a different. And when individuals unite they create an indomitable force for good.

Sure hope you’re right that there are more of “us” than “them” who believe in democracy and freedom of speech, truth and honesty. I’m not real clear on the time frame of actually how long the Nazi movement took hold of its people in Germany. Of our population who voted for the conservative far right and the Party of Trump it’s seems to be about 50%. The mid-term elections should give us a better indication of forward support and maybe a change in the direction. Are the billionaires the ones pulling the strings of Trump? Trump isn’t smart enough to govern our country. Time for me to completely read Project 2025 to the end. Before the election I started the book but found it so outrageous I had to stop reading it. Sinclair Lewis wrote the novel It Can’t Happen Here in 1935 but it sure seems to ring extremely relevant today. We can’t stop fighting the good fight! I agree that your inspiration helps in keeping us faithful.

Of course it’s the billionaires in charge. All the composers of Project 2025 call the shots. He’s NOT smart.

Rachel Maddow wrote a great book, PREQUEL, which describes the rise of Nazis in Germany and concurrently in the US in the 1930s. It’s extremely scary like a mirror of today. White Christian nationalism.

Those who weren't the horrible victims of the originals, i.e, descndants, relatives, co-religionists, close friends, or connected with the righteous who protected them, may not know the personal terror & trauma these schmucks trigger. We the sane People still know: We don't yell FIRE in a crowded theater. Unless there's a fire.
