I wish I'd been to your interview with her although I did enjoy the Sunday talk. I really love reading your fan boy piece here...you're two birds of a feather I think.
Reading two of my favorite writers who share Irish style dagger-humor at its best, the article is of course one of your best. What if she had been a regular in the El Aroyo Cafe columns?? It would be as famous as The Algonquin Round Table. Take care champ.
How much fun for you and for us to get to read about it! I couldn't make it to the Festival this year so it's nice to enjoy the experience vicariously.
I suspect all journalists occasionally get star struck. This was well done!
I record and watch what I can on Cspan, and don’t know if this will show up. I think people would pay good money to see recordings of many of the Festival presentations. There are too many to attend!
Love this, Fitz...the oh-so-human nervousness, the humor and the obvious click between the two of you. So sorry I missed it! And the t-shirt. Wow.
Sounds like she will forever equate Tucson with you. Perfect! You represent our spirit well.
Absolutely fabulous.
You both look mahvelous, dahling.

nice piece, made me smile. Chingona, huh. Thanks for the new [to me] word!
She is lucky to have met you. You are the best.
I enjoyed hearing about your interview with Maureen. If I could have been there I would be one of the fans swamping you as well. Good job as always.
David — you have done it again — wonderful interview and great T-Shirt!!!!
Thank you for the background information on the interview, Fitz. You did a GREAT job on the interview! It was so fun, and interesting, to watch.

You were an excellent moderator. The Festival greatly underestimated the crowds for you and Maureen. You two belonged in Gallager.
