David: A powerful statement of what America is about — and what the current GOP is trying to destroy. Your humor is always welcome, and your insightful commentary presses us to action.

I live in Wadsack’s District, and tried using her Senator FB page to ask questions and call her out, and she blocked me. Supposedly elected officials aren’t allowed to do that, but she doesn’t care. I tried using the ACLU flowchart to report her, but they have bigger fish to fry. I will continue to be an activist and knock on doors to make sure she isn’t re-elected.

Sadly, almost 50% of americans (purposefully not capitalized) voted for DJT. There is too large a percentage of Justine W's out there. I'm too old to experience America's declining future, but my grandkids will. The military-industrial complex as warned by Eisenhower and abetted by elected politicians, has done us in. As Pogo once said, "We have met the enemy and it is us".

Well said, as always. Perhaps the new slogan of the Extreme MAGA Republicans should be, “Willful Ignorance is Strength.”

Hi David- First, thanks for what you continue to do.

In 1962 I walked into what used to be a drug store on the corner of CC and Speedway, and saw a red magazine with a big black swastika on the cover. This was my first introduction to the Holocaust.

I then purchased an 8-mm film from Blackhawk Films showing footage from the camps. I showed the film in my sophomore Spanish class at THS as part of an assignment. Most of the kids had never heard of the Holocaust, and many students left the class weeping.

The truth about the Holocaust had never been taught.

Thanks David, for telling it like it is on gun proliferation. I hope in my lifetime we will see a week go by in Tucson (and other cities) without a single gun violence having to be reported. Enough already. When will we wake up and get good legislation passed.

Thanks for another powerful essay. And also, thank you, or whoever takes care of this website, for making it so much easier to access. So good to just open it, without all the steps, secret code words, and whatever else made it a hassle for a techie idiot such as I, to enjoy. Forgive the hyperbole. Onward and Upward!
