Yo, FITZ! You "took us there" to join the Enhoff crowd. Thanx! I'm sick with worry, over the 'too many uneducated, uninformed, just plain ignorant' people left to convert, and yet geared up with the enthusiasm, hope, and joy of this moment. I'm totally over-amped after seeing Linda Ronstadt's post (saw it a day ago, with her cat) and cheering for this multi-talented, multi-cultural, brave and beautiful icon of ours. I say "ours" because ... over 50 years ago ... I came here on purpose from NYS. Tucson is our special big "small town" where the welcome sign is out for all. I remember Linda from 'The Stone Pony' forward to now. She's gorgeous, she's gutsy, and she was right with that old song of hers ... "You're No Good!" Funny how the circle has completed itself here in our town, isn't it? OK, gang! Everybody's gotta "DO Something!" Let's Not EVER Go Back! Let's "Fight AND Win!" --- LOL! It's a good thing I don't 'drink' much! Hugs all around ... where's my coffee!

Thanks Fitz, I feel like I was there because of your great description.

Sunday will be my 6th week of Sundays knocking on doors. Last week two different white men wouldn't let the woman in the house come to the door to hear my Kamala plea. Neither were kind or polite. I finished the day feeling disheartened, begging for this to be over.

The debate lifted me back up and your description of Doug's event gives me hope.

I'll be back out on the streets again this Sunday 'walking for Kamala'.

It's not a fun job I can tell you that but every week there is at least one bright spot. Two weeks ago it was a 70 year old Hispanic man saying to me " we can elect a black WOMAN as President!" with a huge smile on his face. He made my day, week and month.

Keep us pumped up we need it!!!

Reassuring to read positive “upbeat” comments. I am hopeful that sanity will emerge on Election Day. However, if more than 10% ( the lunatic fringe) vote for djt , I would still consider immigrating to Canada or Australia or some country that does not have about 50% of its populace demented morons. Regardless of the election outcome, I have serious concerns about this nation’s future.

Thank you for a terrific description of a special event to further energize & mobilize the select group of invited volunteers. On the other hand, a donald dump rally the same day, was open to the public, from what I understand. Mr. Emhoff's visit was mentioned once that I heard, on NPR/AZPM 89.1fm that day; fascistfelon45's event I heard mentioned 3 times. It strikes me as NOT a good look, for the Harris Walz campaign to exclude We the Blue Voters from such an important event, who, for various reasons, aren't on the volunteer roster. Remember what happened when Clinton (Hillary, that is) took important EC states for granted? Now, esp. considering the sizeable group of very understandably turned-off Palestinian- Americans and other Muslims. (& Christians, for that matter. Oh, & Jews too, who obviously have about the most reason to say NO to genocide). So, G!d forbid that not enough of us turn out on 11.5, or before via mail-in. But, We need to not be taken for granted. I'm Jewish and I approved this message.
