"Those Americans who avenged the dead"? W's version of that vengeance led to destabilizing the entire Middle-east and perpetuated the cycle of hate and death. God forgive America.

The death of Bin Laden and Al Qaeda leadership was the only sane response to their heinous act of war. I salute the tenacious Americans who tracked him and “executed” him. The rest of it? The waste of life and treasure? God forgive America.

David, I agree. Do you think it's fair to call this "heinous act of war" a faith-based initiative?

Ha! On the nosie as me mum would say. Can we think of another rich megalomaniac with fanatical, religious followers who threatens our attempt at democracy?

Can we think of someone? Too easily! And a very large bunch are right here in the U S of A.

A nicely done chronicle of some very scary days and years. I remember looking up after the planes had been grounded and seeing for the first time in a long time a sky with not one contrail. It showed the power of terrorism left unnoticed and therefore unchecked. Not that the powerful and great thinkers learned anything from it.
