The Cyber Ninja Saga

Chapter 1

Doug Logan’s army of Cyber Ninjas had spent nearly the whole of Arizona’s hellish summer of 2021 on the arena floor of the cavernous Arizona Veterans Memorial Colosseum at the Maricopa County Fairgrounds auditing the Maricopa County vote for evidence of voter fraud.

At long last, as Logan had promised months before, he would finally share the results of his much maligned and mocked vote audit with Arizona’s mostly MAGA Republican Senate, answering the fundamental question on every Arizonan’s mind. Had the 2020 Presidential election been stolen?

Logan, the Arizona Senate’s handpicked demonstrably incompetent amateur “voting expert”, was admittedly flummoxed. After a hand count of the 2.1 million ballots cast in Maricopa County he admitted in a text he couldn’t make sense of the data. Their system was “pretty broken. A lot of it doesn't make any sense.”

His equally unqualified vote auditors which Logan had disingenuously described as non-partisan, had arrived at an embarrassing result that would disappoint not just Logan’s MAGA backers, but most importantly, former President Donald Trump, who had refused to accept his loss, who had been peddling the Big Lie the election had been stolen from him, and who had been closely following the progress of the Cyber Ninjas every day, from exile, in Mar-a-Lago. He’d even texted them new leads to follow. Lord knows where the bamboo fibers theory came from.

“…basically our numbers are screwy," Logan texted in a September message.

According to the Arizona Republic, “The text messages are among 39,000 obtained by The Republic through an ongoing public records lawsuit against Cyber Ninjas.” Logan would fight the Republic for two years to keep such documents secret. Logan would defy court orders to turn over all of his related communications. And he’d rack up millions of dollars in contempt fines.

Their plainly partisan witch hunt had failed to find any evidence of any of the voter fraud alleged daily by Trump at rallies and in tweets. Or that gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake cited every time a microphone was near the former Phoenix FOX news anchor’s mouth.

Moments before Logan formally reported his team’s findings to the Arizona Senate, which was all ears, he looked at his phone and saw a text from one of his many supporters.

“…I know you’re doing big things today. Our nation is in a tipping point ..We sat in the plantation 10 months ago and the goal was to save America. You will have millions of eyes on you…”

What the Cyber Ninjas had found was that candidate Biden had won Maricopa County by a larger margin than previously thought.

But the truth about the truth in the world of politics is the truth never matters. This was politics, the realm where perception, “feelings”, Trump’s “gut” and, as Germany’s Hitler observed in the thirties, emotion ruled. At the same time Doug Logan’s Cyber Ninjas were mocked and savagely ridiculed by the left, for the right they had accomplished their goal. They had successfully fueled the Big Lie with their bumbling performance art to set a prairie fire of doubt and suspicion among the base.

Trump knew where there was smoke…there was smoke.. and in the smoke and mirrors world of politics who needs fire? The mere hint of smoke was always enough to move the voters Trumps declared to be his favorites, the uneducated.

In the days leading up to the 2020 election that court case after court case would prove Joe Biden had won fair and square, young activist Logan, had been very busy pursuing his odd hobby.  Logan, the father of 12 children, had been dabbling in his pursuit of breaching secure voting machines in Michigan, Georgia and Pennsylvania. Logan’s unusual obsession of tinkering with ballot counting technology would attract the interest of the gang called together by the mob boss in the Oval Office immediately following the election. The mobster in chief had instructed his minions to do whatever it took to undo the unhappy outcome of the 2020 election. Whatever it took.

And just like every gang plotting in a basement across the street from a bank needs a slick safe cracker Trump’s gang would need a voting machine wizard and Logan, the tinkerer who lacked any formal training in voting technology, was that cracker.

When Logan got the text inviting him to join Trump’s seditious squad at a plantation in South Carolina, he packed his bags and left Sarasota, Florida immediately. In the following weeks of November and December he would play his part in plotting the Trump gang’s “Stop the Steal” assault on democracy. Lacking any insight into modern vote auditing protocols the earnest Logan would become their key player in Arizona, in the coming spring, proudly serving the MAGA mob at Tomotley plantation that would map out a crooked path to challenging the valid results of the election of 2020 that winter.

Arizona was in their sights. Team Trump was certain Arizona was in the bag in 2020. No question about it. Trump had won Arizona, a dependable red state, in 2015. Yet on election day MAGA Republicans were blindsided when Biden beat Trump in Arizona by a little over 10,000 votes. By such a tiny margin. It was galling. Trump’s MAGA propaganda spinners on FOX News were gob smacked. The overall and pitchfork crowd was already on Phoenix street corners and shaking their fists in front of the Maricopa County Recorder’s office.

Surely something had gone wrong in Maricopa County. It was the first time a Democrat had carried Arizona since Clinton won it in ’96. There had to be foul play. Surely the election had been rigged. Trump said it was rigged. Candidate Kari Lake predicted there would be shenanigans. Were Chinese agents involved? Was the Deep State behind it? Or the globalists? Or Soros? Hollywood’s pedophiles? Extraterrestrials? The Marxists? Venezuela? All of them? Was it the voting machines? Were the ballots flawed?

And thus, within days of Trump’s loss to Biden Logan found himself on a 1,000-acre rice plantation named Tomotley, an estate rich in confederate history. The giant Oaks draped with Spanish moss that lined both sides of the main road to the big house had been planted by the same enslaved peoples who had witnessed the burning of the fields by Union troops in 1860. The same Black Americans in bondage who had rebuilt the impressive southern mansion coming into Logan’s view.

The southern mansion the regional “home and garden” press had described as sprawling, idyllic and beautiful.

The southern mansion the Georgia Bureau of Investigation would later describe as “the central hub for the voter fraud information processing.”

The host of Tomotley plantation was the locally well-known Evangelical Christian lawyer Lucian Lincoln Wood, Junior, better known simply as “Lin”.

Lin believed roughly the same fantastic nonsense most of his arriving guests believed, the crazy creed of the Christian Apostles of Donald, the belief that President Trump had won the election with 70% of the vote and lo, that the election had been stolen by an international conspiracy of communists, Chinese agents, devilish Democrats and turncoat Republican officials.

Lin was a vocal zealot about it, calling for Republican infidels to be imprisoned beginning with Georgia Governor Brian Kemp and Secretary of State Brad Raffensberger.

And Vice President Mike Pence? That Judas? He deserved to be executed by a firing squad.

Lin saw himself as a Christian soldier in a mythic cosmic contest between good and evil for the soul of his nation which was fast approaching the Apocalypse.

Lin’s clarity on the issue of masks during Covid surprised none of his close friends. “When you learn more about satanic rituals, you’ll learn that when they do their satanic rituals, they have to wear a mask and they have to stand six feet apart. Sound familiar? Check the record. Do your research.”

Apparently Lin had not researched his Bed and Breakfast’s guest register nor checked the calendar record for that November. In later interviews Lin, shrugging his verbal shoulders, would tell the press he hadn’t invited the MAGA crew to his home. They had crashed his place, uninvited. Yet Lin, ever the good Christian, treated his “surprise” guests to southern hospitality.

Sidney Powell arrived first, then Mike Flynn.

Retired three-star General Flynn was a bona fide martyr for the MAGA movement. Having served as Trump’s former national-security adviser, Flynn had been persecuted by the Deep State Marxist liberals in the Justice Department for lying to the FBI. He’d been defended at his political show trial by his fellow Christian warrior, Sidney Powell. Convicted and forsaken Flynn was sent to prison. And then, in time, the great orange redeemer in the Oval Office forgave Flynn his trespasses against the FBI, pardoned him for his sins of inappropriate contacts with Russians and freed him from his cell.

And there he was at Tomotley, a free man, walking in, ramrod straight, with an entourage of people behind him who swooped in and commandeered a few choice rooms to serve as the team’s “election central”.

Logan was beyond excited to meet all the MAGA major leaguers he’d been texting the last couple of days about the threat our Christian nation faced if the left’s lawless conspiracy to drive Trump from power was not exposed.

The mansion’s living room and nearby sun room became the heart of the operation, the kiva for the coup plotters, crowded with makeshift work spaces where conspiracy theorists tapped away at their post-it note covered computers, self-described cyber experts ran down online voting fraud theories, and lawyers scribbled notes on whiteboards with markers, rummaged through file folders and worked their phones and all the while they talked about Trump and America and the daily news from Fox and OAN and Jesus as they plotted and paced in front of the roaring fireplace.

Logan was happy in this microcosm of the modern day MAGA Republican Party, this coalition of a handful of cynical ultra-rich far-right radicals and their army of fervent MAGA Christians. Logan was so devoted to the cause he would stay at Tomotley plantation for more than a month and a half helping his fellow believers strategize. Logan would return home to his family on Christmas Eve, physically exhausted yet spiritually energized. He was part of the inner circle that was going to make America great again.

All the Team Trump big shots had been there.

The MyPillow CEO, Mike Lindell, had been there. Briefly. Had to go. Product to peddle. Speeches to give. You know how it is.

Lindell’s Christian attorney Kurt Olsen had been there. Olson would go on to file laughable lawsuits challenging the 2022 election on behalf of Arizona’s persistent candidate Kari Lake.

The Evangelical Christian attorney, and reigning Queen of Conspiracies, Sidney Powell had come there all the way from Dallas, Texas, where she ran a non-profit fundraising machine called “Defending the Republic”.

The former Overstock billionaire, Patrick Byrne was there with Powell. Byrne was Chief Executive Officer of Powell’s “Defending the Republic” and the deep pocket behind her organization which funneled conspiracies and cash to Trump’s cause.

A Q-Anon follower, Powell believed that on election day a vast conspiracy of communists and globalists, involving George Soros, Hugo Chavez, the Clinton Foundation and the CIA , with thousands of Democratic and Republican accomplices, including Georgia Governor Kemp, had tinkered with hundreds of voting machines across the country to transfer  millions of votes away from Trump.

Powell was the one who had tapped Logan to join the fun because she had heard through the online grapevine that Logan was the go-to cyber sleuth when it came to conducting forensics on voting machines.

Trump’s former National Security Agency guy Jim Penrose was there.

Some of the big shots Logan met there were even on a first name basis with Rudy Giuliani.

Big shots like the charismatic Christian podcaster from Texas, retired Army Colonel Phil Waldron. He was there. And he took a shine to Logan. Waldron had come all the way from Texas because like many there he believed Chinese Communist officials, international shell companies and the wealthy financier George Soros were all in cahoots and their evil gang of globalist socialists had hacked into American voting machines and stolen the election from Donald Trump.

By the end of December Trump’s confederacy of conspirators had their plan to steal back the election. It was scrawled in marker script on the whiteboard in the living room of Tomotley Plantation.

1. Identify counties with reports of voter fraud.

Underneath that “Maricopa” was on top of the list of suspect counties written on the board.

2. Get ballot forensics to support lawsuits.

3. File lawsuits.

When the patriots and plutocrats went their separate ways they promised to stay in touch. If they were going to overturn the election results of 2020 they knew they all had a lot of roadwork ahead of them. Logan knew there was much to be done.

The Big Lie had been hatched. And he had been in the room where it happened.

When Arizona’s MAGA Republicans Senate President Karen Fann and Majority Leader Warren Pedersen expressed outrage over rumors of voter fraud in Maricopa County Colonel Waldron suggests a young patriot named Logan to his MAGA pals. Logan would be the perfect choice to lead the “forensic” audit.
