That last sentence is 💯 spot on.

I'm flabbergasted at the thousands of redhats online espousing 'chain of command' excuses for their Kelly hatred.

David, you are completely right here. Mark Kelley served his country, and is still doing what is right. I served during Korea, and it really bothers me that they will attack Mark but let other jerks go unnoticed. Mark deserves all of our support.

⭐🪖🇺🇸 “The Soldiers Who Stood With the Scroll”

In a land where the stars and the stripes proudly roll,

Where democracy hums

like a drum in the soul,

There marched a brave legion,

determined and whole—

The service-strong troops

who stood firm with the Scroll.

Not a scroll full of riddles, not a tale to console—

But the Constitution’s promise,

the nation’s true role.

Its words are the compass

for every patrol,

The oath and the anchor

that strengthens the whole.

From boot camps to barracks, from sea to high sky,

They trained with a purpose

no foe could deny.

“To defend what is lawful,”

they learned as their goal,

“To guard every freedom,

each right, every soul.”

But dark winds came rolling in chaos and cries,

With talk of commands

that were twisted in guise.

And some tried to push them

to acts foul and unwhole—

But the troops held the line

and stood firm with the Scroll.

For two leaders stepped forward—

Mark Kelly, Mark Milley—

Steady and seasoned,

not swayed by the silly.

They told every soldier

from rank up to role:

“Question the unlawful.

Keep truth in control.”

“An illegal order

is not yours to keep.

Your duty’s to country,

to freedoms we reap.

Stay loyal to law—

not the whims of a troll.

Your honor is rooted

in guarding the Scroll.”

And parents, and grandparents, and families before,

Who served in past battles

and old, noble wars,

Passed lessons like heirlooms—

our patriotic gold:

“To protect the republic

with courage and hold.”

So salute to the troops

with their hearts brave and whole,

Who guard our democracy

pole to pole.

For the nation stands tall

when its defenders patrol

With integrity shining—

and hands on the Scroll.

As a veteran who gladly served his country and didn’t claim bogus bone spurs, I am angered at the way the draft dodger in chief disparages, attacks and mis-uses our active military and veterans. Time for those who served to present a united front in defense of ourselves and our serving military. Let's exempt from speaking out our serving military since any negative comments would result in harassment or indictments from our litigator-in-chief. Since I have seen no LTE on this subject from our locally infamous writer. Just wondering if he was a veteran.

I would be happy to open a file on how valid the long forgotten born spur was, how creditable was the MD who took your daddy's money to diagnose it, and did you finish the round of golf you were playing at the time? Did the Fox News wife-beating, drunken janitor read the part of the UCMJ that refers to the behavior of an 'officer and gentleman' and the punishments associated with those that disregard what's considered to be 'good' behavior?

Mark should tell that drunk secretary of war, the one who beats up girlfriends, to meet him at the court house tomorrow. Let’s get this inquisition underway immediately!

This should be fun… A tin hat dictator taking on a distinguished officer and gentleman is a whole lot different than blowing up defenseless fishing boats at sea… Choose your enemies wisely Comrade Bone Spurs.
