News: I will be taking an epic summer break from July 6th to the 16th with my family. We’ll be flying to NYC for 10-days in Manhattan with my Ellen and my adult son Matthew (Who has never been!)
I’ll continue to publish dispatches, between bagels and Broadway shows, as much as I can.
I am going to track down my late father’s Depression Era history as an orphan who survived the streets (Doesn’t every writer have a novel in him or her?) and Ellen will be tracing her late father’s ties to the great Harlem Renaissance poet, Langston Hughes. Her dad, Prof. Don Dickinson was Mr. Hughes’ personal bibliographer in Harlem in the fifties. And Matt will be seeing the Statute of Liberty and all the must-see sites for the first time.
