Happy Independence Day!
I am a Yankee Doodler and I have assembled here some of my best doodles celebrating our nation’s birthday. Plus I’ve included a link to a blurry humiliating video of a fool hosting his own private 4th of July parade back when the Covid outbreak was raging.
Happy Fourth, patriots!
The Fourth! The day we celebrate our nation’s birth by torching Sentinel Peak.
Which sometimes coincides with the start of the Monsoons.
We Tucsonans celebrated the Fourth in times of great strife as well as in times of plenty.
And here it is!
The link to my poor quality one-man Fourth of July Parade video :
Well, that was humiliating to review. At least my grandkids enjoyed it.
Over 20-years ago I offered up alternatives to the torching of “A” Mountain. They were ignored! Hard to believe.
Year after year we struggle to perfect the Union we honor on Independence Day. And this doodler is grateful for the freedom to express his cynical views.
Fingers crossed, none of us loses any fingers on this glorious occasion.
We even survived a second would-be King after we kicked one out of our country.
And when Arab Spring was cycling through the Middle East we were reminded how challenging sustaining a democracy could be.
In spite of a plague and an insurrection we endured.
Have a beautiful Fourth of July!
Love ya, Dave! What would we do without you? Happy 4th!
All too good to have a favorite— rave on!
