The Pima County Sheriff’s Race
Some who read my ballot suggestions questioned why there was no suggestion on how to vote in the Sheriff’s race. The Sheriff’s race is a tough call. Do you want Nanos, an ill-tempered, politically vindictive morale killer? Or do you want Lappin who appears competent and swell until you peek under the badge and see a MAGA sheriff?
I’m voting Blue just so I won’t have to see a Sheriff Lappin walking along the border with a Republican in some future political ad but I may regret it. Argh. Where’s an Andy Taylor to police this Mayberry with mesquites when you need one?
Here’s the link to Stellar’s excellent columns on Nanos’ temperament:
Nanos’ anger arises as Pima County sheriff campaign issue
Here’s the link to “Tucson Spotlight” reporter Susan Barnett’s article on Lappin:

Nanos' suspension of his opponent stinks of politics
Proposition 140
I like the jungle primary system. Worked in Alaska to shave Sarah Palin out of the race there. However I couldn’t support this variation of the jungle primary answer to extremism because of one detail: The Arizona legislature could get involved. Never vote for any proposal that invites our legislature within a mile of any democratic process.
On Saturday I will be cheering on the Sun City Oro Valley Democrats at their luncheon, 11-1pm
I know. I said I was retired. But this cause and these ground troops are dear to my liberal heart.

Next Thursday’s Comedy for Kamala event, featuring Stormy Daniels, Priscilla Fernandez, my humble self and others has sold out! Thanks to all who donated!
Have a beautiful Wednesday and remember-if you’re stressing out over this election you will feel better IF YOU DO SOMETHING. I promise you.
Three weeks ago, I went online and purchased "Harris/Walz" Tee shirt. Here are some of the comments said to me as I wear the shirt in public.
In the Cosco Parking Lot: "Thanks for not being a Moran."
In Fry's at Oracle & Frist, (A 20 something woman) "Love your Shirt, where can I get one." I gave her the web site. Also in Fry's, "Love your shirt, we got to get rid of Him once and for all". Walking My Dog in Saddlebrooke, "Thanks for wearing the shirt, do you have any buttons? I took the one off my Golf Hat and gave it to him. Now I carry extra buttons just for those who ask.
I am so energized by the number of people, especially the number of people young and elderly who give me a "Thumbs Up" as they pass by.
Be a proud supporter and let people know you support the full Democrat Ticket up & down the Ballot.
